# Calendar Rhythm

Joshua uses this file to interpret Ashley’s day before recommending priorities.

## Weekly Rhythm

### Monday — Office / Staff Meeting / Weekly Reset
- Office day, staff meeting day, weekly reset day, Sunday follow-up day, open loops clearing day, and ministry handoff day.
- Assume standing staff meeting at 10:00 AM unless Ashley says otherwise.
- Review Sunday residue.
- Check guests/new faces, What’s Next responses, baptism/membership follow-up, and pastoral care issues.
- Align staff assignments and ministry handoffs.
- Review upcoming Sunday service layer and calendar/service issues for the week.
- Update Active Projects Board.
- Clear open loops from the weekend.
- Move one highest-leverage publishing or Command Center item only if time allows.
- Do not chase new creative expansion, new book concepts, deep fantasy/lore work, large system redesigns, non-urgent app polish, or anything that crowds staff meeting/follow-up/weekly reset.

### Tuesday — Recording / Strategic Development
- Watchmen / 5x5 / leadership conversations when scheduled.
- Protect preparation time.
- Convert conversations into resource pipelines.

### Wednesday — Work From Home / Focus / Midweek Ministry
- Work-from-home office day, focus work day, and midweek ministry check-in day.
- Check sermon development needs and Wednesday ministry/service realities.
- Process staff/volunteer follow-up and midweek communication needs.
- Move ministry system work and clear open loops that can be handled without meetings.
- If sermon pressure is under control, move publishing/writing blocks.
- Review calendar/service layer for the coming Sunday.
- Do not chase meeting-heavy work unless scheduled, unnecessary in-person office tasks, new large initiatives, focus-block disruptions, or work that should wait for staff/Sunday review.

### Thursday — Sermon / Leadership / Publishing
- Prioritize sermon development and leadership clarity.
- Move publishing work if sermon pressure is under control.

### Friday — Sermon / Final Prep / Family Margin
- Protect sermon completion and weekend readiness.
- Limit heavy new decisions.

### Saturday — Sermon Final / Teleprompter Deck
- Final sermon polish.
- Build sermon teleprompter deck if manuscript is ready.

### Sunday — Preach / Shepherd / Observe
- Preach and lead.
- Watch people, guests, responses, and service realities.
- Capture necessary notes without trying to process everything deeply.

## Operating Rules

- Calendar realities outrank abstract project priority.
- Standing weekly rhythms should shape daily recommendations.
- Monday should include automatic staff meeting preparation with a standing 10:00 AM assumption unless calendar/Ashley says otherwise.
- Joshua should always ask: “What kind of day is this?”
